The Prayer Calendar is published quarterly on behalf of the Episcopal Office of the Anglican Diocese
of Ottawa and is available the month preceding the quarter.
In this Prayer Calendar, we have tried to reflect the life of the Diocese of Ottawa. Every parish is prayed for over the course of the year, with the name(s) of the clergy serving that parish.
Each Sunday throughout the year we pray for:
- Bishop Kathryn Otley;
- the Most Reverend Anne Germond, Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario;
- the Most Reverend Shane Parker, Primate of Canada as well as:
- One or more of our Diocesan Partners: Alongside Hope, Anglican Fellowship of Prayer, Anglican Foundation, Communion Forest, Compass Rose, Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, Kairos Ottawa, International Anglican Women’s Network of Canada (IAWN Canada), Multifaith Housing Initiative (MHI), Saint Paul University
On the first Sunday of the month, we pray for:
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, Bishop Larry Kochendorfer and Bishop Carla Blakley.
On the second Sunday of the month, we pray for:
Our Community Ministries:
- Belong Ottawa: Centre 454; St Luke’s Table; The Well/La Source
- Centre 105 (Cornwall)
- Cornerstone Housing for Women
- Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre
- Refugee Ministry Office
On the third Sunday of the month, we pray for:
The Anglican Council of Indigenous Peoples, Archbishop Christopher Harper, National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop, Sacred Circle Events, and the ministry of reconciliation.
On the fourth Sunday of the month, we pray for:
Staff at Ascension House, including the Archives.
